Dedicated to those who taught us the art of hospitality

Dedicated to Uncle Michelangelo, a beloved primary school teacher in Pompeii and guardian of family traditions, this home carries his name as a promise: a place where you truly feel at home.

Our Story

A farmhouse once lived in, now reborn

Michelangelo’s Home was born as a genuine rural estate: stables, antechamber loggias, rooms opening onto the outside, and the inner courtyard where the family came together on Sundays. Every stone carries the memory of generations of everyday life in Campania. The restoration followed one simple principle: preserve the soul of the place. The stone doorways, the original arches, the unhurried pace of the courtyards — all kept intact. Alongside them, contemporary comfort has stepped in with discretion, never imposing itself.

Your host, Luca

“I grew up in Pompeii, yet this area continues to amaze me every day. It’s not just an archaeological site: it’s a city that still pulses with life, flavors, and stories forgotten and found again.

I wanted this house to bear the name of my uncle Michelangelo — an elementary school teacher and a point of reference for entire generations of children in this neighborhood. Michelangelo’s Home was created to keep his memory alive, and so that every guest can truly feel at home, discovering with calm and wonder everything this unique place in the world has to offer.”
